Getting There & Whats On
Kangaroo Island is easily accessed by either a 30 minute flight from Adelaide or a 45 minute Sealink ferry crossing from Cape Jervis, a 2 hour drive south of Adelaide. These services operate all year round. You can bring your own car via the ferry or there are hire cars operating from Kingscote, Penneshaw or the airport.
Kangaroo Island is home to many native animals and has diverse landscapes in cliffs, sand dunes, bush land, farming land and beautiful beaches including Emu Bay. There is much to see and do so please give yourself enough time to see the sites.

Summary: For the most part we loved our stay. The view is incredible with the sound of seabirds and waves in the background a great way to wake up. We didn't see any penguins but plenty of willy wagtails and shorebirds. I think the addition of Wi-Fi (if available in Emu Bay) would have been great only due to the unavailability of a connection anywhere on the island for anyone other than Telstra customers. Whilst charming and clean, I found the house a little shabby for the price and a little updating wouldn't go amiss. That being said, the bed was VERY comfortable! Other than that, we were happy with our stay.
