Positive: We absolutely loved the location and the view from the deck and upstairs bedrooms. Wow!
Negative: We had an issue with the stove. It wasn’t working the first couple of days and there were not many options for going out to dinner (we arrived via ferry and did not have a car). We had cold meals for dinner.
Summary: The location can’t be beat!

Positive: Aurland Guesthouse offers a charming and authentic Norwegian stay nestled in the heart of the picturesque Aurland village. Unlike the modern minimalist style of newer apartments, this guesthouse provides a cozy, "home away from home" atmosphere with traditional decor and warm hospitality. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with many offering spectacular views of the Aurlandsfjord and the surrounding mountains. Guests particularly appreciate the communal feel, including a shared kitchen and a lovely garden area where you can relax and soak in the peaceful village vibes. The location is exceptionally convenient for travelers who want to explore the region without the heavy crowds of nearby Flåm. It sits within easy walking distance of the local grocery store, charming cafes, and the bus stop for the Stegastein Viewpoint shuttle. For those looking for a budget-friendly yet high-quality experience, this guesthouse strikes the perfect balance between comfort and value. Whether you’re starting a hiking adventure or simply need a quiet base for your fjord tour, the friendly staff and serene environment make it a top-rated choice for an authentic local stay.
Negative: none
Summary: A cozy and authentic Norwegian retreat offering warm hospitality and stunning fjord views in a peace

Positive: The information messages: they're ongoing, clear, and supportive; Location: just in front of the sea, literally opposite the following sauna, and next to Spar grocery store. Convenient parking. Nice yard (more for dinner experience). Very soft bed linen and comfortable pillows. All of us had such a good sleep.
Negative: We liked everything. May be, just adding a couple of bar chairs would be useful.

Positive: The location can’t be beat. You’re right on the water with a view of the fjord! Plenty of kitchen items for what you need, albeit the stove/fan were a little tricky to figure out. There’s a warning to limit shower usage, but we found the water turns hot instantly and had amazing shower pressure, so it wasn’t really a problem.
Negative: There wasn’t a dryer, which made drying clothes kind of tricky with a chilly, humid environment.
Summary: Picturesque and peaceful fjord stay
