Positive: A beautiful guest house, the kind you see in movies. The word 'authentic' comes to mind, as the staff and house were so charming and in keeping with the whole experience of York. The room was beautifully kept and presented. Breakfast was cooked to order and great each time, with the chef coming personally to speak to us each day to make sure the food was excellent (it was).

Positive: The lady who runs the hotel was very friendly and lovely. The hotel was outstanding and super clean. Lovely breakfast.

Negative: We was in the top room at the front so a little noisy from outside and window had a ill fitting curtain so left a lot of light in at night time.

Positive: This was our third stay at Ascot house and it never fails to deliver. Clean, comfortable and a short walk to York Minster. Excellent breakfast including GF choice.

Negative: Room was a little noisy at night from room above walking
