Positive: Very nice homestay in Polonnaruwa with a Great local breakfast. We had an AC Room which was very modern and extremely clean. Very affordable accomodation. The Host Aruna is so awesome and welcoming. He offered us bike rental for exploring the ancient City. Very Special Person and a nice Place to stay

Positive: Its very clean and modern. The mattress is comfortable and the provide linen blankets ( or similar fabric) which feels really good on the skin. The owners are welcome and kind and helpful! There is a kitchen and a balcony aswell so you will have everything you need!

Negative: Keep in mind that there is no air conditioning so you will sweat a lot. A nap during the day is not possible, and at night watch the moskitos!

Positive: Staying at Aruna homestay has been one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka trip so far. Aruna and his family are truly amazing hosts - welcoming, kind, knowledgeable and always ready to go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience possible. The room was clean, modern and comfortable, and the breakfasts and dinners were delicious! It's very close to the sacred city of Polonnaruwa (Aruna rented bikes for us to explore the city).

Mom and daughter were incredibly kind, always smiling, and genuinely helpful, making me feel like part of their family from the very first moment. The room was simple but very clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. What really made the difference was the warm hospitality: sharing meals, stories, and local advice gave me the chance to experience authentic Sri Lankan culture in a way that no hotel could offer. The location is also great, close to the ancient city and easy to reach by bike or tuk-tuk. Breakfast and dinner prepared at the homestay were delicious, with fresh and traditional dishes full of flavor. Positive: This place is perfect for anyone who loves peace, cleanliness, and good value for money. The rooms are very clean, with a light and pleasant smell—not too strong like in some other places. The homemade food is so tasty and healthy, making it the best choice in Polonnaruwa. We searched many places for good, healthy homemade food but couldn’t find one as good as this. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, making the stay even better. Highly recommended, especially for couples and families looking for a calm and relaxing place. Today we're booking this place for the second time👌
