Positive: Easy access into the apartment. Great communication from the host. Fabulous location. Everything you could want for a comfy stay.

Negative: Was quite cold and couldn’t turn the heating up. Had to ask the hosts and we were already a few days in.

Positive: A beautiful, large, modern, stylish 7th floor apartment just 5 mins walk from the old town across the river in the Gros area. With a huge private balcony to view sunset with a drink. Great facilities in the flat - everything you could want. Lots of local amenities, shops, restaurants and a supermarket just across the road. And with a friendly and very helpful host.

Negative: Its never cheap to stay in San Sebastian - but was still good value for the size, style and location

Positive: The the flat is not in the typically tourist areas by the beaches which means it feels like a proper neighbourhood with lots of families and local residents at the bars and shops immediately by the flat. It’s also only 5 mins walk to the centre of the town and nearby Gros. It’s also only a short walk to the bus station if you are going on buses to other towns in the region - such as Bilbao.

Negative: It is a good 10/15 min walk from either gros beach or the main beach. This could be a problem if you were staying in San Sebastián on a purely beach holiday. The only problem we had with the apartment was access - the locks on both the front door and the flat door are initially operated by a digital code accessed via WhatsApp. We had a lot of problems with this. Once we had gained access there was a key that worked perfectly.
