Positive: Breakfast was large selection and free, coffee was great! they spread breakfast all around the Kitchen. and they had a lot of appliances to warm or heat the pastries or bagels. . Rooms were spacious and bathrooms were clean. Lots of hangout space. There was a large parking lot. it was great since I had a rental. Staff was very friendly! I was only there one night, but would highly recommend.

Positive: The breakfast was really nice! And everything was really clean and I felt comfortable. It was my first stay at a Bed and Breakfast, so for me, it was a really nice place to stay!! From outside it is and looks like a home . but the host or caretakers do not live here. And from the inside it was really clean and nice and very well displayed . The dining area is amazing.

The accommodation was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. close to shopping center. We’ll certainly stay here when next in Abbotsford.

Positive: Anita's Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located close to the highway and within walking distance to shops and a variety of restaurants and fast-food outlets. As our room contained a double as well as a single bed and a small desk & a chair, there wasn't a lot of space, so I appreciated being able to use the communal lounge to sit in each day. Access to the backyard was nice except for the smell from cigarette butts left on the table. Breakfast on our second and third mornings was good as Anita made fresh waffles and there was fresh fruit to enjoy. There was plenty of parking in front of the house.

Negative: We chose Anita's because we wanted a ground floor room (because of our luggage) and because of the comments online re breakfast. While our room was on the ground floor and had access to the garden at the back of the house, access to our room from the front of the house which was at ground level was via internal stairs down to it (so the room was actually in the basement) or via a very steep path down the outside of the house - which was very awkward for moving suitcases. When booking, we expected that by putting in our credit card details, payment would be made. After booking, we received a message that said payment was by cash or e-transfer. On arrival, we discovered that we were unable to make an e-transfer so we had to go to an ATM and withdraw cash. If those details (and what is meant by an e-transfer for non-Canadians) had been included in the pre-booking information, we wouldn't have booked. We were disappointed with our first experience of breakfast because while the display matched the photos online at the time, the pastries and cereal were stale. We knew we'd be sharing a bathroom ... there was one toilet on our floor which was shared with 4 rooms (possibly 8-10 people) and the bin wasn't emptied while we were there so there was a strong odour by our last morning. The shower was on the next floor up and that room also contained a toilet, which initially had a sign on it saying it was blocked, so don't use it. When questioned about it by another guest, we learnt that it was fixed, but the sign hadn't been removed.
