Positive: Everything was wonderful. The owner Adel was an exceptional host, and the care and attention he gave us made our stay feel special. The room was fully equipped, with air conditioning and excellent Wi-Fi; the bathroom and shower were great, and we slept very comfortably. There was bottled water available for guests in a small fridge in the corridor. The guest house is right by the lake, and the sunset from our room was beautiful. The owner even drove us to the temples and refused to accept a tip. And the breakfast was the best we had in any of the eight hotels we stayed at in Egypt.
Negative: There was very little to dislike. I booked several months in advance to secure the room, but later noticed that the price was around €30 lower when I checked shortly before arrival. That was just a small regret about my booking timing, though—it didn’t affect our excellent stay.
Summary: An outstanding stay with the warmest hospitality

Positive: I had high expectations for this place based on the reviews, and it still exceeded them. I highly recommend staying here and seeing the temples in the afternoon, once most of the large tour buses have left. The owner, Adel, is an incredibly thoughtful and welcoming host. He has recently added an upper floor, and I stayed in one of the new rooms - it was beautiful and very comfortable (the shower was excellent). I was working while there, and the WiFi was perfect, but this would be a great place to relax and disconnect. Adel also arranged my transportation from Luxor and to the airport in Aswan.

Positive: Room is comfortable, spacious and very clean. Breakfast is fulfilling. The guest house is by the water, and I saw a very lovely sunset on the patio. Host is very friendly and good humour, gave us really good advice on planning our time, and he also drove us and other guests around to the temple, to a nice delicious restaurant for dinner, made tea for us, and drove us to the airport at the end. If you can get up early, they also offer boat ride to see the sun rise if the weather is good. Overall we’re very impressed, if we ever make our way back in the future will stay here again.
Summary: Clean room friendly host

Positive: What can I say? Where to begin, our stay at Alon Guest Hotel was so pleasant 😱😍 The owner gave us a superb welcome (he was incredibly kind), offering us a brand new room! No one had stayed there before us 😂😉 The hotel has been extended, and the renovations were done by this gentleman and his wife! Wow. The location is just ideal, with a sunset view and barely a minute's walk from Abu Simbel 👌🏻 Then we ended our day perfectly by playing a quiet game on the terrace with the owners' son, who is absolutely adorable!! Excellent breakfast 👌🏻 Everything was perfect 😍
Summary: Everything was perfect 😍

Positive: The hospitality of the owner, and the location, we walked to and from Abu Simbel quite easily and safely. Good breakfast. Owner assisted us to get tickets for Sound & Light and gave us a ride. Also he provided us with a boat outing early in the morning on Lake Nasser to view the temples from the water.
Negative: Room felt cramped and dark, no windows. Bathroom basic, no dry area, we decided to skip our nightly shower.
Summary: Amon Guest House is a good rustic option. Owner is expanding the hotel by 6 rooms and it will hopefully be a facility u
