Negative: Nothing really. Maybe a bit on the pricy side compared to other similar rooms we booked throughout Egypt.

Positive: We really loved this place ! It was calm and confortable. We had one of the best meal of our stay in Egypt and don't miss the breakfast with the best falafel we had ! The owner was very welcoming and gave us a lot of advice to enjoy our night in Abu Simbel.

Positive: What a great host! We stayed in Ashraf’s home really. Had home cooked dinner and breakfast which were among the best meals of our whole Egypt trip. Ashraf also made immaculate arrangements re:our amazing sunrise boat ride and return transfer to Aswan by car. If you’re going to Abu Simbel, you cannot go wrong with Osiris Guest House.

Positive: The guest house is in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of tourism, and so close to the Nile! It affords a breathtaking view of the great river in its very backyard, from where our very gracious host Ashraf took us to the Abu Simbel Temple on a boat ride. In fact, that boat ride in the evening during sunset will remain one of the best experiences of my entire life, and I do not exaggerate when I say that. The lunch the family made for the two of us was so generous that we could have it for two full days, let alone one meal-time! We felt completely home here and I do dream of coming to Abu Simbel again with my friends and when I do, this is where I will be!

Summary: The best experience of stay and help in the most magnificent of the ancient temples I’ve ever beheld!

Positive: Friendly, helpful hosts and comfortable, quiet room in a house handy to the Abu Simbel temple complex - we walked there at least once. Appreciated the welcome and morning coffees.

Negative: Airport transfer prices were exhorbitant by any standards. Perhaps get a pickup via the accomodation, then arrange your own trip back via one of the many drivers you'll meet on the street leading to the temple. No breakfast, but this was easy to work around.
