Summary: Nice, comfortable cottage. Well located for pub and shop, though pub was fully booked and shop closes at lunchtime so something to bear in mind if visiting! Parking is on the main road. Near Cartmel and Grange over sands for shops, pubs and restaurants and within 25 mins drive to all local attractions. Would be nice to provide coffee and filters for the machine and coal for the fire but not a showstopper. Cottage was homely and great size for us, 4 adults and 4 kids. Our only issue was cleanliness, the bed linen on two beds hadn’t been changed and there was a dirty baking tray in the oven. Could really do with a better clean between guests.

Summary: Rose Cottage was just perfect. It had everything we needed and much more. It was so homely and just left like we were back home. It had the shop just next door and the pub up the road. Great place to start the holiday with a great location to the lakes and the coast. I would love to stay here again. Thank you so much.
