Ideally situated in the quiet unspoilt fishing hamlet of Felixstowe Ferry, only 50 yards from the shingle beach and 400 yards from popular country pub serving good food. The village itself boasts an art gallery, cafe, sailing club, fishing from the beach and all are within walking distance. Situated on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, the cottage is well placed for touring Suffolk including the picturesque towns of Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Dunwich, Walberswick, Orford and Harwich. Only half an hours drive from Snape, famous for its all year round concerts. Further inland are Framlingham, a quaint old town with a cobbled market square, tea shops, good eating houses and a castle. For the children, a day out and a picnic at Easton Farm Park, is a must. Set in a lovely original farm setting with antique machinery, farm animals, arts and crafts, childrens play area, a restaurant and a picnic area set alongside a river. Slightly further afield are the famous small towns of Long Melford, a haven for antique hunters, and famous for Kentwell and Long Melford Halls. The medieval old wood town of Lavenham is also worth a visit as is Constable Country and the Dedham Vale. Numerous other picturesque villages to visit, all within an hours drive or just relax on the local Blue Flag beach. Felixstowe, 2 miles, for shopping facilities. Pub 400 yards.

Summary: Due to the Covid 19 restrictions the property was quite sparse but this was what we expected. The property lay out takes some getting used to, with the living room upstairs, but this means that you get fantastic view of the sea and the golf course outside your door and the surrounding country side too. There was a funny smell in the downstairs bedroom, but opening the window soon got rid of this. The property could do with a bit of a refurbishment, but that would probably lead to an increase in price and make it too expensive for me to visit again. The owner/ caretake was at the end of the phone and very helpful, posting an item to me that I had left behind. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: had a wonderful 3 night break here earlier in September, directions to get there are very clear and helpful owner pre arrival. it's a really good sized property with everything you need. all the crocs had been put through the dishwasher before we arrived so all clean, I'm not sure though why you can only have 7 of everything ( I know it sleeps 7) but it is easy to get it clean again, bit of a pain with cups and spoons etc. Great to have 2 bathrooms, lots of towels left for you. The location is beautiful with lovely views, local pub with very friendly staff, good food and a lot of choice. 5 minute drive to Felixstowe or you can walk along the sea wall/path which isn't that far. Not a problem for us but if you were there with children I think the TV could be larger, also it must've been a requirement to remove the DVD player which is a shame as that could be useful as you'd take your own DVDs. Summary: This cottage is a home away from home and provides everthing that you would expect for a relaxing break by the sea. It is located not far from the main holiday resort of Felixstowe being within easy reach of all the entertainment that Felixstowe has to offer while providing a quiet and scenic base to enjoy them. This property offers good value for money whatever time of year you choose to visit.

Summary: Lovely space which grew on us as our stay progressed. Although it looked a little tired at first, it’s location is amazing and comfort and family space were not compromised at all. The bed in the master bedroom could be updated to make it a bit more comfortable, but overall we had a great stay.
