Positive: We had an exceptional stay here, and it wasn’t only because the setting is stunning. The real difference was the human experience. We arrived late at night with serious mechanical problems with our car, exhausted after hours on the road. The person who manages the property didn’t just offer help or advice. She and her family drove more than an hour to the nearest town, in the dark, to find the parts we needed, and came back the same evening so we could repair the car on site. She saw we were tired, and simply told us to rest, as if we were guests in her home, not just visitors passing through. That level of kindness, availability, and genuine care is something you don’t expect - and when it happens, it stays with you. The place itself is beautiful, peaceful, and truly unique. But what really makes it unforgettable is the people who run it. I’m deeply grateful for their help and generosity. If you are looking not only for a beautiful place to stay, but for a reminder that hospitality can still be real and human, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Positive: We had a lovely yurt for 2 nights. I had booked for 1 person by mistake and they quickly changed the yurt to accommodate for 2. Nice warm fire in the evening and lovely food. Really lovely family, organised horse riding and beautiful location right near the lake.

Positive: Compared to other yurts where we stayed, this one was greatly “furnished”, for example they have coal heating during the night. The food was delicious, we were there two nights and always got different food served. I mention this because Song Kul is super remote.

Positive: A very nicely located and well organized and managed yurt camp! The stay was comfortable and warm, the food was very nice and in big portions, the views were exceptional both day and night! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and Rex the cute dog is definitely a highlight in the camp! So playful and energetic! (No horse will dare get within the camp’s borders under Rex’s guard 😁). Highly recommended!

Positive: Staying at this Yurt encampment was a fantastic experience-my three sons and I stayed there as we were travelling by motorbike around the country- the views are spectacular, right by the lake— the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating-- the yurt was extremely warm and cosy— we had an evening meal and breakfast the next morning-- it was absolutely fine and even me who is a vegetarian had everything I needed.

Positive: We highly recommend it to everyone 😊 Zalkar yurt camp is located in a beautiful and quiet place with a beautiful view of the lake on one side and the pastures and hills on the other. The facilities of the camp are nice and we had enough privacy and space to contact with other people. The yurt itself was beautiful, big, the beds were comfortable and in the evening the stove was lit and it was warm all night long 🤩Breakfast and dinner were very good and the hostess, Asel, was the best hostess- nice and warm 😊 Staying in this camp was a balm for the soul! Thank you Asel !
