Within 20 minutes you could be drinking wine at a vineyard, fishing for salmon and trout in the Waimakariri River, swimming or surfing at the beach, or exploring the foothills of the Canterbury Plains on foot or by bike. Rangiora is a good starting point to spend a day in either Kaikoura, Hanmer Springs, Akaroa or Mt Hutt ski field. Rangiora township has many locally owned and operated business’s and shops, and most of the big brand stores.
