Kayadon 2 is a well-equipped 2 bedroom, 2 bath unique beach property utilizing an open concept design. Gliding barn doors separate the bedrooms from the living area providing privacy while maintaining an open feel. The front bedroom has a private bath that opens to an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach or simply open the shower door to the outside and experience a shower under the stars! The back bedroom also has a bath entrance but is shared for common use. The living room and kitchen are a great room with an open concept. All furnishings are new with plenty of seating. Kayadon 2 sleeps 4 in beds. The couch is large enough to sleep a 5th person, however it would be cozy. The outside front porch is ideal for people watching and enjoying the weather. There is a side gathering area for relaxing. Parking in the driveway for 1 car and ample street parking.

Summary: This little bungalow was perfect for two people. The location is walkable to many restaurants, the beach, coffee shops, groceries, the seals. It is also well situated for driving and sightseeing both North along the coast and south into San Diego. Definitely worth a return visit.

Summary: Loved our time spent at Kayadon! This is the second time we have stayed at this adorable property. It is the perfect beach cottage in La Jolla. Love the location for walking to the beach, restaurants and shops. The owner and property management are easy to communicate with. The owner thought of everything one could need for a lovely getaway. And to put the cherry on top they allow dogs!!! Perfection!

Summary: The cottage was very clean and very comfortable. The house has been renovated; very nicely done. It is close to quite a few eateries and a grocery store. We were able to take a short walk to the beach.

Summary: This cottage is nothing short of magical: a brief walk to the beach where you can watch surfers or toss a ball for your dog; access to a fun and lively downtown; a short drive to the cove, with its beauty and active sea lion population; and the calm serenity of a beach night after any San Diego city excursions you may make. This was our hope when we booked this cottage, and it did not disappoint. What exceeded our expectations was the well-appointed nature of every room. We did not lack for kitchen utensils or supplies, soaps and plenty of towels were provided, and the place smelled and felt clean. Thank you, Terri (and Michael), for sharing your cottage with us! We would rent this again in a heartbeat.
