Positive: The location, grounds are lovely. Staff were helpful when we asked to move rooms.

Negative: We were given a very tired looking room which wasn’t the main issue, the kitchen extractor fan right outside one of the windows was and the room having no view whatsoever. The room had a cooking odour and the noise from the fan was loud. We were moved rooms when we asked but again, this room was very tired but it did have a nice view. A small detail but the bottom sheet on the bed was way too small and didn’t fit, something I wouldn’t expect to find in a hotel of this advertised standard. Other things were poor fitting windows, poorly located plug sockets to use for doing hair (had to get on knees and plug in under the desk!) and no bedside lights.

Summary: Lovely location but the rooms definitely need some maintenance and TLC.
