3 Bedroom Apartment in Castello, Venice

The apartment is located in the heart of Venice, between Rialto bridge and Piazza San Marco.
The apartment is on the second floor and consists of a lobby, drawing room with two comfortable sofas and TV( the two windows of this room overlook the canal ), kitchen - dining room with a view over the bridges and the canal also when you sit at the table, one bedroom with a mullioned lancet window on the canal, a second bedroom with two single bed overlooking the Paradise arch, two bathrooms with shower and mansard room with terrace on the third floor (duplex flat).
The area is quiet and there are plenty of shops nearby in the 'calle' (street): supermarket, baker, pharmacy, antique bookshop, news-stand, restaurants, confectionery, the best ice- cream shop etc. There are two supermarkets just two minutes from the apartment (in Venice are rare).
F.A.Q. : terrace, 2nd floor, luminous, air conditioning, internet access free, washing machine, dryer machine, dishwasher, microwaves, Satellite TV, a full kitchen and equipped, all linen for the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms, complete supply of table linen, bed linen and towels.
'This romantic corner of Venice with the Arch of Paradise was the source of inspiration for many poets, writers and photographers as Carl Spitzweg in 1832, John Ruskin, Frank Brangwyin in 1910, James Fergusson, the Alinari brothers (important Italian photographers ), The children-book writer Pinin Carpi wrote a book entitled 'Il ponte del Paradiso' ,
Why should you choose this apartment?: I am aware that it is not easy to rent a house in Venice where the market offers a great choice of apartments for rental.
I can say that my decision to buy this apartment in spite of its higher price in respect to other flats of the same size was due to the fact that I found it had some very special and unique features:
1) the fantastic view from all the windows over the canal . You see a canal crossing where the gondolas seem to slip under the building and you feel like living on a bridge in a romantic atmosphere.
2.)f the central location a a at five minute-walk from Sa Marco square and Rialto bridge
3) the terrace
4) the apartment is on the second floor and has a magnificent view.
5) the charming history of the calle and the Paradiso arch.
6) the 'calle del Paradiso' is very quiet and it is close to ' salizzada San Lio 'where you find all kind of shops
I would also like to say that the renovation was completed in 2015 and that the apartment was completely equipped with new furniture.
A deposit is not requested: we don't ask you to pay for a deposit at your arrival since we have never had any problems with our guests.
I am an architect and I put a great deal of passion in carrying out the restoration works. I saved all the original characteristics and I tried to recuperate as much as possible from the old decoration. For example the 'seminato ' floor - a kind of Venetian mosaic - was recreated according to the original pattern (but now it is perfectly even, a very rare thing in Venice!), the ceiling rafts are the old ones and have been perfectly restored, the bedrooms parquet floors are made of elm- wood.,
It was a great pleasure for me to restore this apartment and I would like to rent it out to people who will appreciate it and think of it as their home in Venice.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay here in Venice. It was in a great location, easily walkable and the restaurants close by were all convenient and yummy. We especially liked the restaurant just below it! The check in process was easy, we would stay here again.

Summary: Our family was so impressed with the location, comfort, and beauty of this apartment. It's perfectly located just a few minutes walk to the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square and has beautiful views of the canals right from the unit. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and Paola made checking in and out seamless. We hope to have the opportunity to visit Venice again and would love to stay in this beautiful apartment if we do.

Summary: Arriving at the apartment was very stressful! After a long travel day we were greeted at the apartment by Paola, she was not pleasant to deal with. I made it clear from the time I booked this reservation that our flight did not land in Venice until 9:30pm, we would need to get thru customs, get our luggage and navigate to the apartment in a city we have never been to so it would be late. I was aware that I would be charged at late arrival fee, which was fine. I kept Paola informed from London on and messaged her when we got into a water taxi, by the time we reached the apartment it was after 11pm and she was very upset with us. She did not say hello she just started angrily telling us how long she had been waiting there in the cold for us and how late it was, she was also upset with us for taking water transport that cost 60 euros instead of a private taxi that cost 160 euro. So, after letting us know she had been waiting for so long in the cold and I should have taken private taxi she opened the building door and just stormed up 3 flights of stairs leaving us behind. She hastily showed us around the apt, we felt very uncomfortable and after she left my kids were feeling upset about the whole situation, not a great way to start off in a foreign country. The apt. was ok overall, my son didn't think the bathroom was very clean, location and views are the best part of the apt. Location 10 - Hospitality 1 - I think I would choose a hotel next time, seems less stressful.

Summary: The location of this property is ideal and the views down to the canals are unbeatable. The rooftop dining table was an added bonus . The apartment is very quiet and was very clean. Like most of Venice you have to go up two flights of stairs. tootstairs

Summary: This place is so lovely. Beautiful view of the canal as you see the boats and gondolas floating by. The apartment is also above a very nice restaurant where we had dinner. It is on the 2nd floor so watch the heavy luggages. We actually loved the loft area where my sister slept during our stay. Our 3 year old loved visiting up there and playing with his aunt.
