Summary: The casita was wonderful. Very well equipped and beautifully decorated. It is on pasture land with mountains within view. Karen was a delightful hostess who had treats and fresh eggs for us. If you want to get way from it all and relax this is your place. Albuquerque is close probably 1 1/2 hours. Bosque de Apache is nearby to go bird watching and to look for other wildlife!

Summary: Every aspect of our stay was five-star. Karen provides a beautiful, peaceful, and well cared for casita located in a truly lovely setting. We hope to visit again and heartily recommend Two Ponyz Ranch. We especially enjoyed the mountain and Mesa views, walks under the vast sky, the well-equipped kitchen, and Karen’s thoughtfulness.

Summary: An absolutely perfect casita with an absolutely perfect owner. Karen is exactly what you desire when you rent out a remote property in New Mexico. Her attention to detail is greatly appreciated and you don’t need much besides a few cold beers and something yummy to put on the grill for a delightful evening. Breathe in the clean air and absorb the quiet while you’re here as not too many places can offer this type of escape from the noise of today. Thank you Karen for your honest advice for New Mexico home seekers. This casita should be on everyone’s VRBO wishlist.

Summary: This property was everything pictured! Many photos can be deceiving, but not these. We had a wonderful time getting away from the hustle/bustle of everyday life to this desert oasis. The owner was approachable and available if needed, but the location on the property was far enough from the main house for privacy. An amazing welcome basket of local goods was waiting upon our arrival as well as guidebooks with recommendations to the local area. Hope to visit again someday in the future. Thanks for a great getaway!

Summary: Written in science-ese: 1) Overall quality of stay superior to most if not all previous VRBO rentals and we have stayed at some mighty fine VRBOs; 2) Host/Hostess very friendly, very engaging, very very; 3) "Casita" location is MY KIND OF ENVIRONMENT, high desert, Pinyon/Juniper forest, dry climate, hot but dry days (not humid), cool breezy evenings, clear with high clouds - just about the very BEST of the bestest kind of environment; 4) "Casita" well designed, well equipped, all necessary utensils, cooking apparatus, very comfortable; 5) "Casita" very clean, shower head could be "de-calcified" (I believe), bathroom very nice, all linens and towels first rate; 6) Bottom line, if I could afford it, I would BUY THE DAD-GUM PLACE AND MOVE THERE!!! FOREVER.....or LONGER if necessary. And Karen is of the very finest kind of people. She could stay with the horsies.

Summary: We were quite fortunate to say the least to find this wonderful property at the very last minute when looking at alternatives after our first option was unavailable due to wildfires in CO. The host makes or breaks a house rental and Karen was an amazing host from start to finish and we were grateful for all of her help. The casita itself was immaculately clean and extremely well-maintained. It had everything that one would ever need for a holiday from kitchenwares, basic spices/ingredients, farm fresh eggs, a washer/dryer, iron/ironing board, good water pressure in the shower and just a comfortable, homey feel. The location itself is just breathtaking and it truly is a little piece of paradise tucked away in central New Mexico. The sounds of nature and very little else was a very pleasant change and the sunrises/sunsets were as spectacular as any we've ever seen in NM. The nighttime skies were another amazing treat and the provided telescope was a very nice bonus for us. The local area offers abundant outdoor activities and there is amazing hiking right out the front door with no need to drive anywhere. The nearby old Spanish mission sites were an easy drive and the town of Mountainair itself has all the basic necessities one would need along with a very nice art gallery. We could not have been happier with our stay and we are forever grateful that it worked out for us especially at the very last minute right before a major holiday weekend. Thank you Karen for sharing your wonderful guest home and ranch with us!

Summary: If you're looking for a safe, remote, peaceful, beautiful getaway in the middle of New Mexico this is it! Lots of opportunities to explore in the area, but just fine if you'd rather curl up with a good book and watch the sunshine work it's way across the mountains. And the STARS! Wow. The hostess was very attentive to making the cute, well kept, well stocked casita feel like your New Mexican home. If we return to the Mountainair area we would stay at Two Ponyz for sure. Loved it! Miss it!
