Summary: Everything was perfect. Michael and Jason are amazing. They made sure we had everything we needed for the perfect getaway! I highly recommend staying in their properties and will absolutely be returning!

Summary: We stayed in the Wildcat Lodge on Black Mountain with our family last week. The house is spacious, well-appointed and is in a lovely area of North Carolina… Now, the tough part of this review. It is also filled with mice and potentially bed bugs. While visiting we saw three mice all on separate locations scurry through the house (the kitchen, laundry room and downstairs game room). There are mouse droppings all over the corners in almost every room of the house. Additionally, we found a bug bed in the upstairs bedroom on the left on the mattress. We were completed grossed out and tried contacting the management company and owner several times. The owner did not get back to us and the management company returned very dismissive emails telling us they could get someone there to look for the rodents but not for a few days. They also ended each email with “Hope you are enjoying your stay.” What?? We certainly understand there is wildlife in the mountains but you don’t expect THE HOUSE to be infested. And you know the adage, if you are seeing one, there are likely dozens more you are not seeing. We have pictures of all the droppings and bed bug and will attach if this platform allows us to do so. We’ve have stayed at several VRBO’s over the years and this is the first bad review I’ve ever left. I wouldn’t have done so if the management company or owner took our concern seriously and behaved appropriately.

Summary: Perfect for a large group. Open floor plan. Large wooden table for meals! Nice downstairs area for teens/young adults. Great wood fireplace! Lots of seating. Great hikes! This is our second time staying in the Catawba Falls development and we love it.

Summary: There 10-12 of us that get together at a different location every year and this year was Black Mountain,NC. We had a great time at the Wildcat Lodge. Plenty of room on the deck, where we were most of the time. Sleeping arrangements worked out great. Plenty of plates, glasses and cookware. Everyone loved the location and the house. Thanks so much for everything.

Summary: The Wildcat Lodge was exactly as advertised! It was well stocked and the furnishings were really nice. We really enjoyed our stay and the nearby amenities were great. I would strongly recommend this property to others and there's a good chance we book in the future for the same trip.

Summary: We had a great stay at the wildcat lodge with extended family. There were fourteen of us ranging in age from 2 to 64 and the space worked out perfectly. The large main room was great as was the big deck. Although it’s a bit of a drive to get to Asheville we went numerous times and loved it, really enjoyed the Shindig on the Green. Black Mountain is relatively close and has shops, restaurants and a large grocery store. We also enjoyed Chimney Rock and Lure Lake. We’d definitely stay here again.

Summary: We really enjoyed our time at Wildcat Lodge. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utensils and spices. The accommodations were comfortable and kid-friendly. Even a minor issue with the a/c unit was fixed quickly and with no interruption to our visit. Great house!

Summary: We stayed in Black Mountain with some friends and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was a short drive to the town and was close enough to Asheville for our teens to go on their own. The neighborhood hiking trail to Catawba falls was easy to follow and such a great place to have nearby. We also went boating on Lake James which is only a 45 minute drive. The cabin was clean and well-stocked with everything that we needed. The hosts responded quickly to our questions. We had a fantastic time and will certainly be returning!

Summary: Family had a nice visit to North Carolina. We stayed one week at the Wildcat lodge. The Host was very nice and quick to respond! Reception in area isn’t great but Wi-Fi at Lodge is good. Dumpster was a big issue for us as it was so far away and it made leaving harder having to pack trash with our belongings which made for tight fit. The house was comfy and accommodated most every need/desire.
