Positive: Great location close to the beach. Deceptively large hotel, bedrooms are a decent size and the facilities and bars are spacious and quite quirky. Not ultra modern but it has a lovely old school charm and very much in keeping with the area. Staff were very helpful throughout the hotel, they even found cover for our motorbikes to shelter them from the gales😊 We had food in the bar, good hearty grub with generous Irish portions.

Summary: Really decent hotel, they do all the fundamentals well - hearty food, good banter and a comfy bed.

Positive: Staff really friendly and helpful. Probably the best breakfast we ever had on holidays. Great location, right beside a beautiful beach. Unfortunately the bar wasn't serving food but we went to it's sister establishment Kate Brownes for food. It was absolutely brilliant.

Negative: Nothing

Positive: My hubby took ill suddenly and was hospitalised and I transferred to white sands to be closer to the hosipital. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in an rural area - very scenic and conducive to a relaxing break. Restaurant/ bar all located within the premises and live music often available. Residents lounge lovely and very comfortable with gas fire burning.

Negative: No WiFi in the bedroom but widely available throughout ground floor.

Positive: I liked the location...near the beach which was great...the food next door in the joining pub was beautiful but very expensive....a fish and chip was €24 omg that's the most expensive I.ve seen for a pub ...it's just normal nothing exciting so to dear I think.

Negative: Didn't like 1 of the rooms I got as it wasn't suitable for my mother ...to tight to small and the bathroom was down a little hall and she can hardly walk ..we couldn't fit her mobility scooter in to either of the rooms as the were that small andcouldn'tleave it out as very open to public.....I also asked for an joining room but they gave us 2 away from her....very tight very small but clean and tidy....people up above us were extremely noisy and we could here the music from the bar very load......don't expect to sleep early as ye won't with the noise...alot of steps in the hotel which wouldn't be great for people who can't get around easy.
