Water’s View is a beautiful apartment for two adults. The apartment is situated over a two car garage with private entrance. This is in a secluded location and only .2 of a mile from Ohiopyle State Park, only 2.5 miles to Ohiopyle proper. The garage is attached to the owners beautiful cedar home with a rugged pillar of stone on the outside and the inside as well. From the second floor location, one can look out to beautiful Meadow Run Creek, a very enjoyable trout stream. In this direction one can see the private space designed for our guests with small table, Adirondack chairs, propane firepit, and an assortment of birds at the feeders! The apartment is cozy and comfy. The kitchen is complete with gas stove, refrigerator, and beautiful cherry cabinets. The bedroom has a queen size bed, walk-in closet. The bathroom has a tub/shower, pedestal sink, and commode. There are smart TV's in the living room and bedroom. There is an outside grill located just outside the door. There are many popular attractions that are easily accessible from Schaefer’s Cove; Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water and Kentuck Knob, Great Allegheny Passage bike trail, miles and miles of hiking trails, great views and waterfalls, great trout fishing, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, Seven Springs Ski Resort, Flight 93, and many other places in South Western Pa.

Summary: It was such a perfect place for a weekend away. We went specifically for a reading weekend and this place was perfect! Cozy place and the hosts supply you with a lot of variety in coffee, tea, etc. Everything you could possibly need is there and it was so clean! They added a tv in the living room which was a nice addition that you can’t see in the pictures. Loved it!!!

Summary: Winter stay to ski nearby. A bit out of the way, but what a beautiful property. Peaceful. Had a small issue with check in and owner handled wonderfully. I would love to stay there again.

Summary: If you're looking for a wonderfully appointed Ohiopyle property that is close to the park and restaurants while giving you the feeling of being tucked away in the woods, this is it! The property is perfectly appointed and spectacularly clean, and allows you to relax and enjoy nature, take a walk along a stream, read a book in a cozy living room, or prepare a meal for a night in after a hike. We stayed in January, which was intentional to experience the snowy creek-side views, and were not disappointed. Check in was incredibly simple, and the property owners added little touches (like candy bowls, drinks in the fridge, and a closet with toiletries) that made it feel like home. And I can't forget to mention Boots the cat, who greeted us upon arrival and was an adorable part of the experience. Thanks for having us, we'll come back so see the property in the summer!

Summary: If you are seeking a pristine, completely appointed, secluded paradise, stay here. Andrea and Tage are amazing and we immediately felt like we’d known them for years. The property is beautiful as are the grounds. Located close to a variety of outdoor activities, historical sites and some of the most breathtaking vistas in the state.

Summary: This was our very first experience getting a Vacation Rental. And what a wonderful experience it was! Water’s Edge is fantastic. The property is serene and quiet -- sitting by the creek next to a fire was so relaxing. The owners seem to really care about this place. From little personal touches like fall decor inside or handwritten notes (we LOVED the local apples btw), to the cushions left to use for the outdoor chairs by the creek…. All very much appreciated! Everything inside was clean and cozy, and the outside area features gorgeous stonework and landscaping. The living space itself is a finished apartment built above an attached 2-car garage, to the owner’s primary residence. We met the owners – they were wonderful. The best, however, had to be the outside cat on the property. “Boots” was there to greet us the moment we first pulled in the driveway, and there to hang-out with us anytime we were outside. Loved Boots!! Inside, there is one cozy bedroom and one bathroom. The skylight in the bathroom with side mirrors gives one the impression they are looking up at woods and wide-open sky. Very nicely thought-out. The living area has plenty of seating with a couch and lounge chair, and there is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, micro, and stove. Inside the front door is a nice little foyer area to take off your shoes and hang your coat, everything else is upstairs. Looking forward to coming back next year!
