Summary: The listing says there is an EV charger but there isn’t. There was no mention of the garage with the charger being unavailable until we were already checked in. It’s wrong to mislead people staying which is why I feel the need to leave a lackluster review. EV charging is very limited in Door County which is why we specifically booked this property. Additionally, the property had a stove with no knobs, making it very difficult to turn on. The property was overall clean but the beds and furnishings were lackluster and uncomfortable. I would generally recommend not staying here and selecting a property with honest hosts. These hosts are definitely not honest. Additionally, we had to wait till we were 20 minutes away to receive check in instructions which were not sent until after we arrived at the property. Again it’s unfortunate considering this would have been an otherwise great place for us.

Summary: The entryway to the house is very dirty and needs a good powerwash. The outdoor couch cushions were not usable. They havent been taken care of and were filthy. Same for the outdoor patio table and chairs off the kitchen. We were not able to access the garage - no key, messaged the owner but never from them. Couldn’t get close to the lakeshore. It’s not sandy as stated in the listing, it was muddy. We were not able to enjoy the screened in patio, or meals, or coffee out there until we cleaned it. It looked like it had not been cleaned all year. There were spider webs everywhere and dustpans full of dead bugs. When we walked into the house, the smell of mildew was unmistakable. We swept many dead bugs and spiders from the dining/living rooms. It is understandable that WI cabins, as you stated in your welcome binder, may have insects and spiders, however this home was listed as an abode, not a cabin. The smoke alarm in the hallway started to beep because of low battery. We had to stand on a table from the living room to reach it. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice, except the curtains did not fully cover the windows. Not wide enough. There was no bedroom with 2 king beds as stated in the listing. But the beds were comfortable, linens were nice. The kitchen was also very nice and had what we needed. We have stayed in several VRBOs in Door County and this is not a gem as you stated. Someone did a nice job with the photos of this place.
