Positive: We loved the fireplace, the beach and lake view, the lovely antique furniture, having 3 bedrooms and a large table for our jigsaw puzzle.

Negative: An FYI or two--the coffee pot doesn't fit the coffeemaker. The top of the pot doesn't reach the dripping-in part so we had a mess and no coffee. And, once we got the DVD player working, it skipped and then turned off. We stuck with the TV.

Positive: Not as crowded as other towns but still an easy drive to different parts of Door County. Comfortable house.

Negative: We wish more was done on the lake side of the property ; getting rid of brush and giving care to make it a better view from the property to the lake. We had the bad luck of it apparently being the season of small dead fish being washed in all along the shoreline but otherwise could still walk the beach. Was also very windy when we were there. We learned Baileys Harbor is about 10% colder than the other parts of the peninsula! Also the master bed is up high so have to crawl up or use a step and seemed a little cozy for a queen size.

Summary: Good family place.
