Our cabin is located less than 1 mile to the entrance of Stone Mountain State Park where you will find magnificent Waterfalls, historic landmarks, hiking trails, mountain climbing and much, much more!
Imagine this...you're sitting on the front porch of a beautiful log cabin, enjoying the cool, fresh mountain air. Now...look out below and you will see a 70 mile panoramic view featuring every shade of the color green spread out over a wide forested valley and time softened mountains. White clouds hang like dollops of meringue in the Carolina blue sky. (Continued below)
Now...look east and you will see Pilot Mountain ('Mt. Pilot' as it was referred to on the famous Andy Griffith TV show). And on a clear day, you can see the tall buildings in downtown Winston Salem, NC, over 50 miles away!
And at night...Wow...the twinkling night lights in the valley are breathtaking and soooo romantic!
Natural beauty of the magnitude is so inspiring and a true feast for the senses...it nourishes the soul.

Summary: It was beautiful! Breathtaking view. Loved the hot tub! Internet was good and everything worked great. The microwave and toaster oven were upgraded since the pics so that was nice! The bed was a little small and not super comfy and we ran out of paper towels and hand soap (I brought some though so it wasn’t a big deal)But overall a wonderful stay! Really quaint and cute. Loved it!

Summary: This beautiful little cabin is perfect for a couples getaway. We celebrated my birthday by watching the best birthday sunrise of my life from the cozy front porch rockers. The weather was cold and windy so we didn’t use the hot tub or the fire pit, but they would be wonderful amenities in better weather. The indoor fireplace kept us warm and cozy. This cabin is in a peaceful, secluded area yet very close to SMSP. We hiked to the waterfalls and trout streams within the state park. Note that there are three cabins on this property with plenty of space between cabins. Parking is tight especially for large vehicles. It’s a 20-30 minute drive to major grocery stores and restaurants, so come prepared. There is a small general store close by. We did see a few stink bugs inside but also saw evidence that the owners are actively addressing the problem to the best of their ability. Overall, this is a wonderful little cozy cabin and we hope to come back again!

Summary: My wife and I come to this specific cabin every year! If you want a peaceful, fun getaway then I highly recommend. If you want luxury and high maintenance then this is not for you. Be prepared to enjoy a getaway outside of normal city living! Stone Mountain has amazing hiking trails and overlooks to make an awesome day and to return back to a great cabin with exceptional views while relaxing in the hot tub! Thanks again for a great stay!

Summary: The cabin was tidy when we arrived, smaller than expected but ok. The cabin felt outdated but still functional. Area was great, very secluded with just the 3 cabins so nice and peaceful. The hot tub was the shining star of this property as well as the view. Make sure you read the entire listing as I was not aware the bed is only full size until we arrived. We wish the weather would have been better as there is not much to do in the area aside from the State Park. There was no direct communications with the hosts which was not any issue, when we arrived there were policy and instructional sheets in the cabin that gave us everything we needed. Overall would recommend, but would suggest to not have more than 2 people staying as cabin 1 was not too spacious. Thank you to the hosts for a nice weekend getaway!

Summary: Everything was good - lots of little stink bugs u believe they’re called but based on location normal. Just vacuumed them all up. The parking was tight so if you got a big SUV / truck it can be a little tight.
