Positive: We had a lovely stay at Vitaver in September of this year. Our hosts, Teresa and Malcolm were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and we had many interesting conversations about life, the universe, and everything. The room was enormous, with a picture window giving a gorgeous view over the sea, the shoreline of which is only about 10 feet away, and it, along with the rest of the house was very nicely decorated and had a generally welcoming, comfortable feel about it.

Negative: Breakfast, it was good, but could have been more varied choice wise.

Positive: Beautiful roomy accommodation. Gorgeous views from the many windows. Lovely relaxed continental breakfast with lots of choice. The upstairs lounge and kitchen area outside our room was a lovely bonus! Teresa and Malcolm were so kind and welcoming- we really enjoyed our morning chats. Was a very convenient base to drive around the rest of the islands- in Kirkwall in around 15mins. Our lovely hosts were very knowledgeable about where and when to go places and advise on how to avoid busy times. The Sands hotel is a short walk along the shore and the food there was lovely.

Positive: Wonderful accommodation. Very comfortable with excellent views. The breakfasts were really good. I loved my daily fresh fruit salad. The hosts also have lots of local information, and we enjoyed our chats. Our fourth visit to Orkney and this has been the best accommodation by far.

Positive: VitaVer is set in a peaceful location, with magnificent views. We were so warmly welcomed by Teresa, and appreciated the care she took to ensure our stay in Orkney was comfortable and pleasant. We particularly loved the home-made preserves at breakfast, such a treat!

Positive: Teresa and Malcom were the best hosts, always available and helpful. They gave us tips, booked restaurants and even helped with the car. The house is immaculate, spacious and very bright, with views of the water. Breakfast is plentiful with delicious home made jam and lots of options to choose from. Highly recommended!

Positive: Everything was perfect !! The location was a short drive from Kirkwall which meant we had the opportunity to visit some of the smaller villages enroute. Teresa and Malcolm, our hosts, welcomed us into their home and gave us many insightful tips about Orkney that made our trip run more smoothly. The breakfast was fresh and delicious each day and the room was generous in size with quality inclusions and a most incredible view! We most certainly recommend this accommodation for visitors to Orkney !!
