Positive: The beds were just right. Quiet unique location. Did the job for our group of 10

Negative: Not really a dislike. But the host didn't seem to have our reservations for all of us.... group of 10 with 3 different reservations. But it was not a problem. She and her family had the rooms made up and ready for us in 15 minutes.

Positive: Vilma's homestay was my best and favorite accommodation in the Philippines. Vilma is so nice, she really makes it feel like home. She's a great cook as well and can prepare meals for you at a very reasonable price. She will make everything for you to enjoy your stay. You have your own guest house where everything is so comfortable and brand new, cute and cosy wooden furniture, 2 balconies overlooking ricefields 😍 (picture 1 view from the doorstep) If you are looking for peace, quiet, beautiful landscapes and good food -->> it's the place for you! Malingcong should DEFINITELY be on your list to visit, amazing ricefields that are every bit as good as Banaue's. But there you will have the chance to discover an untouched nature and authentic charming villages. The view from Mt Kupapey is stunning, and was my favorite in all of Luzon (picture 2), go there for sunrise. All in all, I highly recommend this underrated barangay. If I come back one day to the Philippines I will definitely be back in Malingcong and at Vilma's. Bonus : on my hikes the cute dogs from the house followed, it was so nice.
