Negative: This brand-new homestay is literally a villa, with spacious and contemporary sleeping accommodations and a wrap-around deck on the second floor, and downstairs living space that includes a game/family room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. It is immaculate, pristine, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need. We especially loved chilling on the deck after a day of explorations, watching the town’s flickering lights down in the valley. The gorgeous villa is situated in a North Sulawesi paradise - just below the Mount Lokon, surrounded by fruit and vegetable farms. The property sits on an expansive lot, an immaculately maintained garden area, ideal for families with children. They also make bikes available. Even after long days of explorations, our son loved biking the farm roads. The villa is a great base to explore the highlands of North Sulawesi – hike volcanoes .... discover waterfalls deep in the jungle ...... experience Tomohon traditional market .... visit ancient burial sites .....taste “ragey” pork ..... connect with the locals. And in our unforgettable six days here, we have done it all. But what stands out the most are the people. The property managers, pak Buang and his wife, take traditional Indonesian hospitality and kindness to another level. They treated us like a family. She cooked a made-to-order breakfast for us every morning, including traditional Indonesian dishes (we love the cuisine), completed with fresh local fruits. They helped us with laundry and took care of every detail to make us feel comfortable. They connected us with an excellent local guide and a car driver (Ronald and Bon). Spending days in the company of Ronald and Bon, we not only explored the natural wonders of this area, but gained a better understanding of the traditional Minahasa culture. We will always carry those connections in our hearts! Here we found a home away from home. And left with unforgettable memories. Pak Buang and wife, thank you!

Positive: It is not a room; it is a villa. There are two terasses with great views. Big well kept garden and huge living room and kitchen. The breakfast was exceptional, huge and incredibly varied. The caretakers where extremely polite that did everthing to make us feel at home. The wifi was great. You can walk from the house straight to the vulcano. And most importantly: no car noise. Bath. Perfect for families. Bedrooms a bit more basic, but with very good beds. They can arrange dinner, but Grab is also possible. A bit out of town; but Gojek can take you everywhere and again: no car noise :). We rented a scooter for touring the beautiful countryside. Lots to see and do (Kali waterfall is amazingly beautifull for instance or the alternative Mahawu vulcano).

Summary: Huge well kept villa in quiet surroundings with beautifull views and stil close enough to the town

Positive: The villa is a wonderful home that is a great change from the coast in indonesia. This villa is open with beautiful views and a cool breeze and is great for relaxing and sleeping without air conditioning! a nice change after a week of 40c! it was nice to stay in the middle of an active farming community - with many crops, tractors and busy farmers..and lots of birds and nature too!
