Positive: The owners are very kind, they gave us fresh fruits and homemade food to taste. They also gave us recommendation where to go and what’s worth it. If you go there and you would need any advice they will be happy to help you. Place was nice and clean with everything you need. We were there in winter time so we didn’t see many tourists around, so if you want to try a real Mauritian life this would be the right place.

Positive: Preeti's apartment is such a great find! It's better than I expected and ideal for a number of reasons: it's spacious (handy in this heat and if you're staying for a little while), very well equipped, perfectly clean, super location, and has a huge and very comfy (for me) bed. Preeti and her husband were excellent hosts, bringing bananas and some delicious homemade banana cake, as well as providing info and being easily contactable if I ever needed anything. It's in a great spot - 4 minutes walk from a fairly quiet beach where you can swim and enjoy the sunset with very few people around. There is sometimes a current in which case you can walk down to the beach in front of the hotels where it's a bit more sheltered. Preeti's house and the apartment are in a little village beside Bel Ombre which has a little corner store and a few restaurants. There's a great market twice a week (plus supermarkets) in a nearby village. I would hugely recommend Preeti's place and am looking forward to staying again!

Positive: Owners lovely, helpful, on site. Located conveniently. 2 minute walk to restaurants & public beach, local shops. Black River Gorge close by. Public transport available. Local vans visit daily with, bread & other foods. Parking on site. C Beach (pay on entry club with every facility, bars, restaurants, loungers, sports, pool, etc) within walking distance.

Negative: Dogs barking at night. (Apparently a Mauritius problem)
