On the Port side, this one bedroom, one bathroom property with full kitchen, large living area, soaking tub, private balcony, dining area and breathtaking views, is perfect for a family adventure, romantic getaway, or a relaxing escape with friends.
An open floor plan and large windows with the best view in Seward, make this property a true gem! The one bedroom features a California king, private balcony overlooking the ocean with breathtaking views, a walk in closet and black-out blinds. The one bathroom has a soaking tub and large walk-in shower with private toilet. In the living room, there's a convertible sleeper set as a twin day bed, that can be made into two twins, or joined together to make a King size bed with full blackout blinds to make a bonus sleeping area. The kitchen is fully stocked, with several dining space options (a small table or island bar seating) as well as a private deck with bbq grille.
In sunshine or when Alaskan weather hits, Vessel Beach House is the perfect place to cozy up with a book, play games and watch the weather roll in, or soak up the sun to the sound of the ocean. During the day, explore the wonders right at your doorstep. Beach comb for unique treasures, kayak through the crystal-clear waters, or go for a hike and spot eagles soaring overhead. Located beachfront and steps away from the Caines head State Recreation area, this newly available property is your perfect stay in Seward.
This property is on a water-catchment and septic system. We appreciate your mindfulness for use of water and flushing only items that go through you and toilet paper. Due to the windows, the property can get very warm in the sun. We do not have AC in Alaska, so we encourage you to open the windows to cool and enjoy the fresh air.
The Vessel Beach House is located just 2 miles outside of downtown Seward in the seaside community of Lowell Point. You will need a vehicle to get around and to the home from Seward. Taxis are typically readily available. We highly recommend a car. Seward is a 2-3 hour scenic drive from Anchorage or you can take the Alaska Railroad to/from Seward for a scenic 4 hour journey.
Guests have access to the entire home. One parking space is available for you. Beach is public access. This home was one property at one point, but has been converted into a duplex. You may hear guests on the Starboard side while on the deck or meet them in the driveway coming and going.

Summary: Our stay at this property was fantastic. The host was super communicative and responded to any questions we had prior to our trip. She had some great recommendations of activities to do. Once we arrived, we had no issues at all and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property itself is so nice!! It is so comfortable and felt luxurious - the views, the kitchen, the bathroom, the master bedroom, all of it. I would come back in a heart beat! Thankful for the time at this property and the wonderful host!

Summary: We had a great time at the "Port" place (the adjacent properties are called "Port" and "Starboard." The views are stunning - the pictures really don't do them justice. There also is a gorgeous little garden in the front, with many native Alaskan wildflowers that we enjoyed trying to identify. The property is right on a popular beach, where we frequently fished and hiked. Five otters make this beach their home, and we had lots of fun watching them paddle around. The property was very clean and comfortable, and the owner was thoughtful -- they let us know when workers were visiting the property. The place is a short walk to the many activities at Miller's. Beware that it is really too far to walk to Seward itself, but it is a short drive (and we enjoyed being outside of the "big city.") Highly recommended - we hope to have a chance to stay there again.

Summary: This is the most beautiful property I’ve ever stayed at. The resurrection bay views are amazing right from your living room. We spent a lot of time watching otters, eagles and various wild life right from living room. Recommend it a lot

Summary: Enjoyed the location. Great views of the bay with glimpses of otters and sea birds from the house. Close to the trailheads. Blackout blinds clutch! House plants and surrounding gardens an added bonus. My family lived it and wished we could stay longer.

Summary: This property provided everything for our family to have a relaxing stay near Seward. The views were breathtaking and it had great bedding, appliances and materials throughout which made the stay luxurious. I would definitely return and recommend this property!

Summary: This is probably the nicest vacation rental I have ever stayed at. The layout, furniture, appliances, and decor were top-notch. Watching the sea otters float around and play 100 ft away was such a joy. Since we were traveling with a 10-month old, we appreciated the portable crib in the closet. This VRBO simply blew us away. The only downsides were the lack of in-unit washer/dryer and a somewhat spotty internet connection. We were in Seward for vacation so this didn't affect us, but it's worth keeping in mind.
