The property owners are happy to share their home that is called “Pakeho. This would definitely be one of my picks as property manager!
Pakeho was the name of the hill country property they previously farmed at Wairamarama in Northern Waikato. This property features on my own 2 Lakes site if your preference is to deal directly and with no web fees.
A comfortable home away from home on a quiet right of way in Lynmore, having three bedrooms and two living areas. The living areas open out onto a large patio, which is fully fenced, is safe for children and is an ideal spot for summer barbeques. The patio has a boundary of beautiful native bush full of bird life.
The living areas are both heated on cold winter evenings with gas fires.
There is a modern well equipped kitchen with a large gas cook top, large oven and dish washer.
There are three bedrooms, the main bedroom is large with an ensuite. The second and third bedrooms are both doubles and are serviced by a second bathroom with bath, shower and a separate toilet.
The residence can sleep six comfortably and there is also a fold down single if necessary for a 7th person.
There is a washing machine and drier situated in the garage with plenty of space for storing mountain bikes.
This is an ideal base for cycling in the Redwoods, and the trails are to die for including the famous TREE WALK just a five minutes cycle away, to explore Rotorua which is four kms away or further afield to the beautiful lakes, Tarawera, Okareka or Rotoiti.
The Redwoods Centre for cafes including the new Eastwood Cafe is a three minute drive or ten minutes stroll across the park.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. Comfortable bed, pillows, and linens. Plenty of room to put our stuff. Walking distance from the Redwoods forest. This house was the perfect home base for our week in Rotorua.

Summary: We were very pleased with our recent (February 2023) stay at this rental property. Everything about our experience went smoothly. We were provided with complete and accurate information ahead of time, plus the host responded promptly to additional questions we sent. The house itself is clean, well-furnished and comfortable. We commented on how many cozy places there are to sit, indoors and out. The location was great for the types of places we visited: Hell's Gate, Te Puia, the redwoods, and Lake Okareka for swimming. We were extremely satisfied and would highly recommend this property to other visitors.

Summary: Handy location near Redwoods Forest, the Lakes and local shops. We enjoyed swimming in the Blues Lakes and exploring Redwoods Forest including the Tree Tops Walk. Not far from Rotorua central, playground and thermal areas.

Summary: My family of 7 had a delightful visit to this lovely home in the Lynmore area of Rotorua. We enjoyed our daily walks to the Redwood forest and the nearby Sequoia Cafe. We had tea each morning on the secluded back patio, surrounded by lush vegetation and pleasant songbirds. The property manager and owner were swift and patient in responding to any questions we had. Summary: The property known as Pakeho is an exception place to stay. The house is well appointed with amenities suited to all. Pakeho (unlike a motel stay) provides a pantry/fridge full of numerous condiments and the kitchen is designed to cater for a large family or group. The master is spacious and has an ensuite including heated towel rails. Pakeho has pay TV, gas heating, a separate dining and lounge room as well as 3 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have queen beds whilst the third had two singles. There was also a roll away in the shed. Highly recommend staying here.
