Positive: The location had nice views, including along the 1 mile walk to Port Ellen. The heaters were very effective and the overall facilities were adequate and accurate to the description. The clothes drying rack useful for drying the clothes (as there is no dryer), and the wifi was good.

Negative: The front door window and all windows in the kitchen (which faces the front of the house) were lacking window coverings. This was not preferred, especially since the kitchen and front door were between the bathroom and main bedroom. The bathroom sink had a separate facets for hot and cold water, which was not ideal. There were some pill bugs (roly-polies) in and around the bathroom and a spider seen in the living room

Positive: Very comfortable and clean cottage in a beautiful setting overlooking the sea, within walking distance of a pub and the seaside. The cottage is well equipped and has a table and chairs in the garden, where we enjoyed a few drinks some evenings. There is a parking spot right outside the front gate, which was very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Negative: To go to 2 of the bedrooms, you have to walk through the bathroom -- yes, the bathroom has two doors, one leading to the kitchen, and the other leading to a bedroom -- and that was a bit weird. But then, it is an old cottage, so I guess this was part of the experience (and it even added some charm to it, to be honest)

Negative: The door was broken on the washing machine. Not a problem if we had Known before we got there. The drain on the shower was partially blocked but still worked. both need attention

Positive: Quaint and quirky but perfect for our stay. Close to port Ellen.

Negative: The shower doors really need to be replaced and if I’m being picky, the kitchen appliances could do with a spruce up. The bathroom door on one side doesn’t have a lock. It’s things like that which let this place down. Also no hair drier. Otherwise the house is fine, warm and close to town. We enjoyed our stay and actually worked well for our family of four and our friend using the other end of the house.
