Fantastic updated home in desirable Bear Lake. This home is newly built in just the past few years and has barely been used! Everything is virtually brand new. Get picturesque lake views from nearly every room. This beautiful house is directly across from Bear Lake public access. Pull up a chair or your boat and enjoy the Lake! There is nothing more modern and updated in the area. This is truly a perfect vacation rental home!
AMENITIES INCLUDE: air conditioning, gas grill, laundry, outdoor deck, and lake views. WIFI and smart TV included.
Note: Access is via the garage and the garage is included, but parking is not allowed within the garage. Keep all vehicles outside the garage.
The kitchen is fully stocked for everyday meal prep. Dishes, pots and pans, silverware, glass, etc. dishwasher, and a drip coffee maker is available for guest use. Additional kitchen items include microwave and toaster. Also included: bed linens, bath towels, basic cleaning supplies, and soaps (not personal soaps), and a starter set of paper products.
LOCATION: Only 16 miles from Manistee, 48 miles to Traverse City, 5 miles to Lake Michigan, 40 miles to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, and 13 Miles to Crystal Mountain. This is the absolute perfect location to stay when going skiing or snowmobiling. Plenty of options for the whole family!

Check in time is after 4:00PM and check out time is before 10:00AM. Please note that we are not able to accommodate early arrivals or late departures from May – September. Any request for additional time will depend on availability of the rental and an additional fee may be added to the stay.
ARRIVAL: There is no formal check-in procedure. Arrival details are sent prior to your check-in date and will include the exact location of the property, parking and entry information. Guests will have a private, secure entrance and the rental is not shared by owners or other guests.
DEPARTURE: We do have a very short checklist we ask renters follow upon departure. It includes making sure the property is left tidy, furniture is in the same place you found it, everything is closed, locked and turned off, and the thermostat is set properly. These items will only take a couple of minutes but help staff immensely.
Please know that all rental policies and house rules are strictly enforced. This includes occupancy limits, age requirements, the ‘no parties’ and ‘no smoking’ clauses or any other rule posted online or within the rental. These are often defined by local ordinances, Homeowner’s Associations or other legal requirements and can result in fines or eviction if violated. We do not provide additional refunds for cancellations, late arrivals or early departures except as required in the posted cancellation policy.

Summary: Loved the property, location, and view of Bear Lake. Comfy, spacious, lake-themed decor, with lots and lots of natural light. Evening sun on the balcony was amazing. Plenty of counter space, kitchen amenities, and dining space.

Summary: My wife and I so enjoyed our stay here. The home is very comfortable and we loved the porch overlooking the lake! The sunsets were spectacular. The owner of the property was very kind and did the utmost to make our stay the best. Love to stay here again if we ever get back in the area!

Summary: Wonderful home and host. The home may not be on the lake, but you can see the lake from every window and there are many public access points to the beach.

Summary: Had a very nice stay at property by Bear Lake. Nice view of lake and small public access across the street. Lovely view of sunsets, although power lines partially obstructed view, thus using public access on lake. This is probably the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed with VRBO. However, be sure to read entire description of what is included or not included; I.e. no body wash, shampoo or conditioner provided, which is the first of all the places we’ve ever stayed. Note: bathroom is huge, but shower surround is quite small. Luckily we are both small in stature and weight, but shower stall is smaller than 36” X 36” as one corner is cut at an angle. Bed in master was very comfortable, which is certainly a plus!

Summary: It was perfect for our family of four! We loved that we could walk down to the little public access spots and swim. We loved being close to other beautiful spots for hiking and kayaking. We also loved having a place to relax as a family. Loved the views of the water from the house.
