Positive: Lovely comfy cottage with great facilities. Comfy beds. Lovely location near to Budle Bay. The owner made us feel very welcome with a very thoughtful hamper.

Negative: The cottage is right on a busy road with no access to beach. The beach in the photos is private and completely fenced off. To walk to Budle Bay you have to walk on this main road for a short while which was a bit hairy. There is no path. We discovered later on (by cutting through places) that you can do a longer route behind the cottage to avoid the road but takes about ten minutes).

Positive: Lovely sea views, beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped

Negative: There was only 1 parking space at the house for 6 of us so we obviously arrived in two cars. There were only 5 places to sit in the living room so we couldn’t all sit in there together. The shared courtyard wasn’t nice to sit in because you were surrounded by smelly dustbins.

Summary: We felt that the house would be cosy in the winter, but the lack of nice outside space was disappointing.
