Negative: I thought it had a garden but it didn’t, would definitely benefit from a combi boiler as hot water ran out after two people went in the shower. White goods a bit dated and soft furnishings could do with an update.

Positive: Great location, about 45 minutes' walk on the coastal path to Bambrough and a 30-minute drive to Lindisfarne. The open plan kitchen/diner living room (upstairs) is spacious and has great views -- and a telescope.

Positive: Loved the view and the property in general Comfortable beds Lovely welcome pack Comfortable sitting area Handy parking Warm Washing machine very handy, Good shower Generally clean and well decorated.

Negative: The cooking equipment was lacking, no large oven proof fish or frying pan , the coffee jug was cracked , There were no instructions on how to work the white goods or heating.. these things may be simple to use but instructions are always useful, We ran out of hot water the first evening and had to make phone calls with much signal to find out why . We were able to follow instructions and get hot water but if these instructions had been written in a file it would have been less stressful. No instructions about bins. Usually in other places we’ve stayed at there has been a big file with operating instructions, checking out info etc , makes things clear and easier for both the customers and owners . Loo seat in en-suite was loose. Window cracked in double bedroom Kitchen could have been cleaner

Negative: Shower nearly uncontrollable in terms of temperature. Far too hot scalded you. Loads of bluebottle flies inside the property. Bubbling sewerage tank on arrival which left property smelling foul. Main bedroom window doesn’t shut properly leaving a draft. Hot tsp on the kitchen sink sharp and cut my wife’s hand.
