Positive: If you're looking for a tranquil place with a beautiful view, this is your spot. The location in the middle of the gorgeous nature in this area is perfect for a relaxing time. The room is spacious and greatly integrated into the surrounding environment. The A/C did his job well, which was highly needed with the hot weather in late July. The restaurant offered limited food options, but everything we ordered was tasty. Also the jungle and cave tours organized by Oxalis Adventure provide a great variety of activities. We did the 1 day Tu Lan Experience Tour (TL1) and it was spectacular. Highly recommend doing this tour. The hotel also offers some non adventurous activities: dinner at a local's place and a bicycle tour through the rural environment. We enjoyed both.

Negative: The hotel seems really to be organized around the tours offered by Oxalis, so there aren't many things to do at the hotel besides that. The indoor and outdoor restaurant area are quite simple in matters of seating options. Some lounge seats outside would be a good addition. The bed was quite hard. The shower could be a bit cleaner.

Positive: Spectacular views of rural Vietnam in the Quang Binh Province. Really enjoyed the breakfast. There seemed to be good variety between Western food options and local food options. Friendly and helpful staff!

Negative: Unfortunately, our family had to stay in two rooms and the rooms were pretty far apart. We would have liked to stay closer together.

Summary: Loved the Tu Lan Lodge...I'm sure we'll be back!
