Summary: The staff were amazing. They helped me set up transportation for the volcano hike and to get to and from the ferry. They responded immediately on WhatsApp. I left a shirt there and the next day they sent someone to San Juan to deliver it to me.

Summary: Totoco ecco resort has a magnificent view of the conception volcano which was the best part of our stay. You can also watch the breathtaking sunset while enjoying drink. The staff is exceptional. A few things to keep on mind. The resort is on a steep hill and requires transportation that can go up rough terrain. Also it would be wise to bring a flashlight as there is no lights when walking path to your cottage. Also be aware of insects infestations like ants, and creepy crawlers. This is to be expected in a ecco resort and the staff is very helpful if you do experience issues with insects. There is also a staff member that keeps a night watch. We also enjoyed the location, you can order a taxi to drop you at the amazing chocolate paradise (we recommend) and ojo de agua. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Summary: The view from the room was absolutely amazing. The WiFi was ok, just keep in mind this is an eco hotel so the water is not hot, the toilets are compost besides the check in area, no air conditioning etc but our stay was amazing and well worth it. I recommend an SUV to get to the property (we brought ours on the ferry)

Summary: We loved it! Staying in a jungle cabin on a volcano was incredible. My only suggestion is to update the matttresses. They were old and sunk in the middle. Other than that, we loved it!

Summary: The views from this place are stunning! Great view of the lake on both sides of the island, as well as a great view of the volcano (we came during rainy season so it was mostly covered by clouds). The food selection is a bit limited and not the best we had on trip, but still good! The best part about this stay was their massage service, I didn’t catch her name but WOW she did an amazing job and it was only $35 USD for an hour of the best massage I’ve ever gotten. The local cat Coco who sleeps on the property is so sweet and cuddly! My one complaint about this stay is that the main road was closed (not sure how it is normally), so you’re required to travel up a pretty steep and sketchy dirt road that is filled with large rocks - only certain types of cars can make it and it floods whilst raining. To get to the main road you need a way down this dirt road, which is probably a little over a mile. I felt too sketched out to go down it on the ATV’s you can rent (for $70 USD a day), but then you must pay for a driver down. So, overall, the views are amazing but in order for those views you need to sacrifice being a bit out of the way. We rented an all day driver for $75 USD who took us to the chocolate farm, ojo de agua, and playa de mango - all were AMAZING! (My other complaint is that the mosquitoes here are out of control, my boyfriend got eaten alive. The rooms have a bug net over the bed but other than that have some openings to the outside, so we did have a cockroach)

Summary: Peaceful and cozy cabins. Cabins have off the grid toilets and outdoor showers. The volcano view is monumental. The only thing I would like to be adjusted is the loud talking from the kitchen staff in the mornings before breakfast.
