Positive: I loved the view of the volcano, perfect sunset view. They have cool events, great prices, clean water everywhere you go. The staff helps you with everything including booking tours and rides. The rooms are spotless and the bathroom is well maintained. The food here is organic and delicious. I cannot wait to come back. Also the hammock on the balcony is the best. Breakfast is included and it’s very very good.

Negative: I liked everything about this place. It was awesome.

Positive: The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning, and that alone makes the stay worthwhile. The included breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and the staff were consistently lovely and very helpful. The cocktails at the bar were excellent as well. The room itself was good—comfortable and clean—but not particularly remarkable for the price point, in my opinion. Ultimately, the common areas, the breathtaking views, and the quality of service are the true highlights of this property. We also enjoyed participating in the yoga class.

Negative: The hotel sits at the top of a steep hill, which can be challenging to reach by scooter unless you’re a very confident driver. We chose to walk the 2 km path each day, which was fine and accurately described in the listing. However, we did encounter a few neighborhood dogs at night that behaved a bit aggressively and got quite close to us. Of course, this isn’t something the hotel controls, but it’s worth being aware of if you’ll be walking back after dark. We also spent New Year’s Eve at the hotel and booked the special dinner experience. While the food itself was very good and the tables very well decorated, we unfortunately wouldn’t recommend the event—at least not with the current vendor. There were several “spiritual” activities included that hadn’t been advertised beforehand and made us uncomfortable. It took away from the evening, as most guests seemed more interested in simply enjoying the night—talking, dancing, and celebrating—rather than participating in these unexpected activities. We really wish this had been communicated clearly in advance so guests could choose whether it suited them.

Positive: We liked a lot the vibe and the view was absolutely amazing. We loved the staff, they were very accommodating and friendly. The food was good and there was a lot of nice options as well. The activities you can do on the island are INCREDIBLE, one of our best trips.

Negative: The location was both a nice and bad thing. It was nice because it was very high in the mountain and the view was amazing, but the path from the main road to the eco lodge was complicated and it is not easy to navigate without a truck or very good all terrain car. That made it so that we couldn't easily decide to go down to the town during the night and had to stay at the resort.

Summary: It was amazing and we had one of our best trips here. Would 100% recommend.

Positive: I had a wonderful 3 night stay here whilst visiting Ometepe. The location is literally in the middle of the jungle but has in my opinion one of the best views of Ometepe island. It’s a bit out the way so you need a scooter or quad to get up and down to Balgue but I just organised two day tours and they picked me up directly and took me from there. The food is great and I ate there all three nights and the cocktails and drinks are brilliant. The staff were super helpful and accommodating and helped book me taxis from and to the ferry. Would highly recommend for a few nights in Ometepe.

Negative: It is in the middle of the jungle so make sure you have some bug spray. You’ll need it. I was prepared for this and the net over the bed worked really well. But just be mindful there are too by to be the odd thing that makes it in to your room or outside shower. So just be sensible with the lights etc to avoid attracting them in!

Positive: When we walked in for check in at sunset, I am pretty sure our jaws were on the floor. The views from the dining and pool area are stunning. Breakfast and dinner were top notch. Staff are great- Allen is super friendly and helpful and Kevin makes some dang good cocktails. Rooms are typical of Nicaragua- open air so gets a little warm (and the monkeys and birds are loud) but with the fan we were comfortable. Enjoyed waking up and sitting on our balcony to overlook Concepcion. We did a lot of research to determine what part of the island we wanted to stay, and I think this area was perfect. We were very convenient to a lot of restaurants and activities.

Negative: Nothing! Really enjoyed.
