Positive: The area was lovely for divers..just beside B&J dive resort and about 10m from the beach where snorkeling was good!..excellent staff and the rooms were clean and smelled good. We were a family of 4 and got the 4 bed room- warm water and comfortable..

Negative: Ongoing construction caused noise in the morning...as it is a dive area- can be quite noisy but we were on a dive trip so not too much for us...alot of geckos which is understandable... Food variety around the area is limited..

Summary: Excellent for off the beaten track and non touristy

Positive: Stayed here for a short trip and loved it. The rooms were clean and well-kept, and the location was excellent — just a short walk to the scuba diving training centre and the jetty. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout my stay, making everything smooth and stress-free. Would definitely recommend to divers or anyone wanting easy access to the island’s main activities.

Positive: Conveniently situated about five minutes walk from one of the island's ferry piers. Near several small restaurants. Comfortable rooms and beds. Friendly and helpful hotel staff and dive coordinators - great assistance for a first-time diver. Clean. Tioman is a beautiful spot. Recommended, overall.

Negative: Wifi in room was unreliable to the point of being unusable. Staff were unable to fix it. It worked outside the room, but there were many mosquitoes happy to take advantage. Cigarette smoke everywhere - the inside of the room didn't smell, but it was inescapable outside of it. The hotel bar was the social center for the area, so it was generally pretty loud at night.

Summary: Overall, a good spot to stay, and to dive. Maybe better for a young person than a family with kids.

Positive: The location and accommodation were both good. It was a neat corner room, there were some ants but it was okay. I stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights and they cleaned the room on the second day. Restaurants and bars nearby, and an office deck in front are convenient.

Negative: However, taxis and motorcycles from the port to the resort are very expensive. Cataferries do not stay at ports close to the resort. So we paid 10 ringgit per person, but they didn't tell us in advance that we would get double the money for two types of transportation. Other than that everything was good.
