Positive: We didn’t use the spa or have breakfast so can’t comment on that. We arrived a little early and as our room was ready they let us in which was great. Could not fault the staff around the hotel they were all delightful and helpful. The best think was the bed, it was probably the comfiest bed I’d ever slept in.

Negative: The shower in our room was going from lukewarm to warm and didn’t really get hot but we just didn’t get chance to tell them. The only other thing I didn’t like was the public toilets on the ground floor, they needed updating as they were quite tired but the ones on the first floor were amazing, I felt like I was in a different hotel altogether.

Summary: We stayed for a wedding, but if I were to go to that area again, I would be happy to go back.

Negative: Food was terrible, steak over cooked and was sent back, breakfast was all over cooked and not replaced through the morning which left it not pleasant to eat. For the cost of nearly £30 I would expect a lot better.

Positive: Lovely one night stay at thornton hall. The breakfast was lovely and the manager went above and beyond to cater for my allergy. Room was very luxurious and comfortable.

Negative: We were very disappointed that the use of the spa wasnt included in the £380 we had paid for one night. We had to pay an extra £50pp to use the spa and an extra £8.50pp for robes!
