Positive: Excellent information given prior to my arrival. The house, garden, the rooms and whole accommodation itself, exceeded my expectations. A lovely addition to have the room of breakfast items. Immaculate and spotless.
Negative: There was some road noise in daytime hours (but that definitely didn’t affect me during the night).

Positive: Easy to get there from the motorway, and despite its closeness, it was very quiet and peaceful. You are surrounded by countrysideVery easy to find and plenty of parking space. We especially liked seeing the rescue ponies next to the carpark. This was perfect for our one night stay for a family diamond wedding anniversary close by. Easy to get in with the pin instructions. Staff responded quickly and effoiciently to questions and requests, including leaving an iron and board in our room and sending us a local. taxi number Very clean and well-kept with spacious lounge, dining and breakfast ares downstairs and a help-yourself buffet breakfast and teas and coffee available all day. Bedrooms also spacious and comfortable with super king size bed . Slept very well. Shame we couldn't stay longer- this would be perfect for a retreat.
Negative: The sign at the entrance from the road is not easily seen. The pin could be a bit temperamental when coming back at night. We had to try a few times and had to send message to owners, but it worked in the end. It was a little disconcerting not to see any staff on location and seeing the closed circuit-tv in place of a person at the reception desk. This is a minor point as staff were available to contact and responded quickly and efficiently to our questions and requests.
Summary: Lovely reasonably-priced, spacious place to stay, surrounded by countryside. Perfect for a retreat.
