4 Bedroom House in Newland, VIVONNE BAY

The home consists of a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounge and reverse cycle air conditioning. Other features include pool table, satellite TV, DVD & stereo system and free wifi. There is also undercover parking at the rear of the property with dual driveway access. We offer free on-site use of two Kayaks with adult and children size lifejackets for you to explore the calm and picturesque waterways of the Harriet River.
The home sleeps up to 11 people, the master bedroom has Queen bed and large ensuite with views of the Harriet River and access to the front deck. The second bedroom has a Queen bed, the third bedroom has a Queen bed and single bed and the fourth bedroom has a tri bunk and a single bed, all are serviced by the second bathroom with bath and a separate toilet.
The property is situated on a double block surrounded by natural vegetation and home to many native wildlife such as wallabies, koalas and echidnas. The front of the property boasts a large deck, 4 burner BBQ and Alfresco dining and offers magnificent views of the Harriet River. Sit back and enjoy the privacy and serenity with a complimentary bottle of “Fleurieu Vines” Cabernet Sauvignon and watch the sunset. Take a short walk to the spectacular award winning Vivonne Bay Beach. The largest and most accessible bay and beach on the south coast and the best beach for swimming and surfing.
The Vivonne Bay Store is open 7 days a week and sells fuel, alcohol, general supplies and a variety of food and drinks. Make sure to indulge in one of their famous Whiting Burgers.
Vivonne Bay is one of the most popular places on Kangaroo Island - it’s rugged, beautiful and home to some of the island’s favourite attractions, Seal Bay Conservation Park, Little Sahara, Raptor Domain, Kangaroo Island Outdoor Action for guided Quad Bike Tours, Bush Getaway Adventures, Sandboarding and Paintball. Summary: This property is gorgeous. A very private setting with beautiful views of river and bush and we had stunning sunsets to enjoy. The two kyaks were such a bonus as the river was glassy for 2 days while we there. The pool table was fun too even though in need of repair and levelling. A superb spot to go.

Summary: We had a great time hanging out and playing pool at this property. It was well appointed with plenty of supplies in the kitchen, including great coffee and the basics (salt, pepper, tea, oil etc). We found the house to be spotlessly clean and was very comfortable. The kayaks were a great added bonus and we loved sitting out on the decking to watch the sunset. Thanks for a great stay!

Summary: We had three nights stay here. Really not long enough. Loved the location easy walk to the beach and river. Great spot to take the provided kayaks for a spin. The local wildlife would pop up every night when we had tea on the balcony, such a wonderful experience. House was huge, comfortable and clean. Great home for a few families. Highly recommend staying here.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Vivonne Bay. The house was in a beautiful location with views over the river and a short walk to an amazing beach. The house was great with everything we needed and the kids loved playing pool and I enjoyed the spacious balcony. I’m hoping people continue to visit KI after the fires as this area and house is a place not to be missed.

Summary: This property had everything we needed (plus some) and was in a great location. Vivonne Bay has an incredible beach and is also close to many of the main attractions on the island. We were there during a heat wave but still didn't need to use the aircon due to the large verandahs on both sides of the house. It was a great home to return to after 42 degree heat elsewhere on the island. The kayaks were also great and we used these daily.
