Positive: Thimble cottage was really cosy with a very good oil fired central heating system so that it was always warm even in the winter. The cottage was located on the edge of Hartland village within easy walking distance up a steep hill to the village centre. It had a large double bedroom on the ground floor with a comfortable king sized bed. The bathroom had both a bath and shower. The kitchen on the first floor was well equipped and had plenty of worktop space.

Positive: Breakfast was excellent, although I would say that because we were self catering and I cooked it. This is our 2nd stay at thimble cottage and won't be our last.

Negative: We love the location, Hartland is a very welcoming village with a good selection of pubs that all serve food.
