Positive: Ground floor room was ideal as my wife has mobility problems so has difficulty with stairs.

Negative: 2 minor issues: 1. The room had obviously been recently painted so there was quite strong smell of paint. The windows were high up without pole to open them so couldn't let in fresh air. 2. The electric towel rail wasn't working

Summary: Apart from comments above, stay was very good - good food and drink, excellent full English breakfas

Positive: Situated in a quiet, attractive village close to Bury St Edmunds, the pub has quiet, comfortable rooms in a converted barn. We loved the garden in front of our room where we enjoyed the sunshine. Our dinner in the pub was good and excellent value. It is old school home cooked food. Breakfast was equally good. The beds were comfortable and we slept well.

Negative: I don't like a wet room but the shower was pretty good and it certainly is accessible for people who need assistance. Otherwise everything was great and we were delighted with the well run pub.

Summary: Cosy friendly pub with rooms.
