Positive: Excellent location, helpful staff, comfortable bed and good breakfast. Unfortunately the shower wouldn’t work and the phone in the room was also broken — major disappointment for a property with such high ratings.

Negative: Broken shower added to broken phone so front desk couldn’t be contacted.

Positive: The hotel was immaculate, staff were very welcoming & friendly & breakfast was amazing!

Negative: The bathroom in the party room wasn't great, the toilet was tiny & it could really do with another toilet more than two showers. Only a small negative though. We really did have a great time & will be back again.

Positive: The most amazing place to stay. The staff were really nice and very accommodating. The hotel is very well kept and looked beautiful with the christmas decorations up. The room was spotless with nice extras like bottles of water. We had the breakfast, which had such a good choice, and the cooked breakfast was well cooked. For the price we paid it was amazing. We would definitely come again if visiting Chester.

Negative: The only reason for not giving a 10 was the creaky floorboards. But it’s an old building so probably to be expected.

Positive: The communal rooms, my bedroom. The helpful, pleasant staff. Lovely food and choices.

Negative: The stairs, not having a lift but that’s because I’m old, 66 going on 99. No good for someone who can’t manage stairs.
