Positive: The property is modern and exceptionally well restored into a lovely dwelling. The former station building provides excellent accommodation, which was spotless and well maintained. Unfortunately, engineering works scuppered a train trip into York, but the bus replacement only took 15 mins. Traffic noise was hardly noticeable and the window blinds blocked out light from the station platform. Heating the house took literally minutes.

Positive: House was beautifully kept, with everything we needed for our stay. Location in Poppleton was lovely, and great base to tour around York. Enjoyed the snacks left out for us to.

Negative: Not really made aware that the house actually forms part of the station - with lighting and passenger noise being annoying, as well as actual trains passing by 10ft from lounge window.

Summary: Lovely weekend break - beautiful village - clean house, gorgeous new kitchen area.

Positive: Great location, super property finished to a high standard. Great facilities at the house, three good size bedrooms and a large lounge. Property handy for an easy ride into York on the train (5 mins) so you can leave the car at the house. A good couple of local pubs in walking distance.

Positive: The Station House has been converted into a lovely cottage. The rooms are big with modern decor. Everything you need has been catered for. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Being literally on the platform it’s great for your trips to York, Harrogate and more.

Negative: Couldn’t fault it. It had everything and more than we wanted, needed and expected. Wish it wasn’t so booked up so we could go again !
