Negative: If you don’t drive a scooter it can be a bit expensive to hire a taxi for every trip as set price .

The location is absolutely breathtaking – during the day you have stunning views of the ocean, and at night you can sit back and enjoy the stars. ✨ The accommodation is spotless and equipped with everything you need. But what truly made our stay unforgettable were the hosts, Eddy and Patricia. They went above and beyond to help us with anything we asked, no matter how big or small. They thought along with us, shared laughs, and made us feel completely at home. At the same time, if you prefer more privacy, this is still the perfect place. You can retreat to your own space where the only “disturbances” come from the cheerful calls of birds or a little greeting from a gecko 🦎. Truly a gem on Karimunjawa – we’ll never forget this experience.

Positive: The last thing I told the owners was that our stay in Karimunjawa wouldn’t have been the same without The Secret. The property is beautiful and welcoming, designed in a style that blends perfectly with the natural surroundings and respects the environment. Cleanliness and comfort are of the highest level. We were welcomed and cared for with great kindness, without missing anything. If we ever come back to Karimunjawa, it will definitely be at The Secret.

Positive: Loved pretty much everything. Staff were incredible, we’re really helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Location is a bit out of town but not far enough to be an issue and means you are closer to sunset beach. Hiring a motorbike is a good idea.

Positive: Incredibly friendly staff who organised a fantastic day snorkelling to us also - many thanks to Hari and his team! The Secret is in a wonderful location, with stunning beaches nearby. The breakfast was great, with excellent coffee and fresh fruit.

Positive: Lovely room with a great terrace and awesome view. Close to sunset beach and good breakfast

Negative: Unfortunately after our stay Hari, the manager, gave my personal data (phone number) to one of his friends because he wanted to get in contact with me. I am deeply upset that this is the way the manager handles private data; giving away personal information that he recieved via booking.com is very inappropriate. Especially as a girl I feel quite uncomfortable and would not stay there again.
