Summary: Our room was very nice, wonderful bed and linens. Our service was fabulous. Highly recommend. There is a convenience store and a great place to grab a toastie. .

Summary: We stayed in room 902 and it was a fantastic experience. The room was very clean, quiet, spacious, and even had it's own turret up a small set of stairs with immaculate views. We had breakfast each day with the hotel and the spread is great. The hotel's location is perfect as it's right across the street from Waverly station and there's an elevator from Market Street to get you to the lobby without having to take stairs with all your baggage. We also used the Airlink 100 bus to get to the airport at the end of the trip which was an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel. Couldn't have asked for a better experience with this hotel; I highly recommend.

Summary: We spent a very enjoyable 5 days at The Scotsman. It is ideally situated in the middle of everything Edinburgh has to offer. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. A special shout out to Alan and Theo for taking such good care of us. They were tested by our large family's copious questions and didn't blink. Their suggestions were spot on, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have had their guidance throughout our stay. We will definitely return to the Scotsman next time we are in Edinburgh.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the Scotsman in early August. The gentleman in the beautiful green plaid suit who greeted us at the door was so lovely. He took the time to tell us about Edinburgh and gave us a map and directions to some sights that we inquired about. During our stay, we received several calls from the wonderful folks at the front desk checking to make sure everything was good with us, the hotel and our room. Our room was HUGE! Although we had a room facing the street and the bridge, it was very quiet. The cleaning folks kept our room and the hallways immaculate. If we are ever back in Edinburgh, we will be staying at the Scotsman!

Summary: Noisy room with zero privacy. Couldn’t sleep because of all the weird noises that were coming from outside and inside the hotel. Might as well be sleeping on the Scotsman Stairs!

Summary: The staff, led by Ivor, is extraordinary, attentive and caring. They set a tone that carries the place, makes it warmly and quintessentially Scottish. Breakfast is superb, the Grand Cafe very good, and the location amid the heart of The Royal Mile utterly perfect.
