Positive: Location is relaxing clean beautiful. Room was comfortable. Pool is spectacular. Bike path is the big draw for us--absolutley gorgeous. Restaurant always good.

Negative: Just small stuff---the refrigerator was barely cold, the handle to shower could not be turned, the lamp didn't work.

Summary: Love staying here--the room is beautiful-large quiet great view-staff is wonderful-restaurant tasty!

Negative: the rooms and facilities are dated for the price they charge. Service was ho-hum. For example you drive up to registration which seemed like a valet spot. I waited and no one showed up. Gave a few gentle toots on horn, nothing. It then became clear there are no attendants so i went it. A sign would have helped. Also the 2-3 employees that walked by could have communicated rather than just walked past.

Summary: not worth the price. For the price they should have updated rooms - not something left from 90s/00s.

Negative: We did not like dinner. Fish was overcooked. Staff offered to cook a different protein, which they did.. he brought scallops,they were well cooked but way over salted that overwhelmed my palate.

Negative: Air conditioning was marginal at best, resulting in two sweaty nights of interrupted sleep. The couple traveling with us had an identical issue.

Positive: Valley location was very close to Carmel. Rooms are large and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool area which luckily was very quiet durning our stay. Water was the perfect temp.

Negative: I would really have liked to have an in-room safe. Otherwise , the rooms are well appointed.

Positive: A lovely tranquil location in the valley, but within close proximity to Carmel town. Staying here felt like a treat on our American road-trip. Comfy beds, nice pool, delicious dinner on-site.

Negative: Delayed service at dinner, but the staff were working really hard, so possibly just short-staffed that evening.
