The Plimmerton Beach House is a place to unwind relax and let go. Sand sun and fun, beautiful sunsets. Walk from the sea up the sandy beach and onto the large deck, past the BBQ shower spa hammocks and kayaks, under the pagola and outdoor furniture, into the lounge or a quick right into the master bedroom/private lounge, straight on past couches open fire and smart TV to the open plan kitchen, left into the bathroom or first right into the bunk-room or a bit further to the double room, open the fridge whatever you want then walk out the road side doors down 5mins to the restaurants shops and cafes or half way down turn right and catch the train 30 minutes to beautiful and buzzing central Wellington. The train track runs behind the house and street the electric commuter trains are quiet but up to 3 to 4 freight trains run at night which are louder. I live in the Beach House when its not rented with my children and it doesn't disturb us at all and I have only 1 in 50 guests even mention the trains, so just letting you know.

Summary: Our Australian grandkids said that that had had their best NZ holiday ever. They then debated between themselves that it is was probably their best holiday ever.Well situated and well equipped for the perfect family beach holiday. I think that says it all. Host and local contact were both great to deal with.

Summary: Location was awesome. We loved the view. The amenities were great. Spa pool had sand on seats and tarnished my jewellery???Water quality???? There were not enough glasses, mugs, plates or bowls for 7 of us. Not enough dish washing liquid. Coffee cups had been used previously and looked like they had been put straight back on the shelf unwashed as they had dried coffee inside them. Only 5 wine glasses when we had 7 adults. It was not stated that train line was sitting with 20m of the nearest bedroom and the trains go most of the the night on the hour if not more often. Aside from that we really enjoyed our stay. Great location and out look. It was so nice to walk straight on to the beach from the house. The barbecue was excellent!
