Shorewood House offers you the perfect get-away while having all the amenities of home. Our classic colonial styled home built in 1867 offers 4 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, 6 appliances ( fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer & dryer ) and is fully decorated offering all the items your vacation demands. Perfect for two small families or up to three travelling couples.
Shorewood House sits on a huge lot offering harbour views with mature trees, including cherry and apple, with a private yard equipped with both a covered side deck and an open back deck. Shorewood House is designed for total relaxation and family comfort inside and out. The property is equipped with plenty of deck chairs and a full sized BBQ, as well as games such as washers and croquet to help enjoy the family friendly yard.
Shorewood House is conveniently located just steps away from the Shelburne's Historic Dock Street and its beautiful harbour. You're just a few minutes walk from Shelburne's Historical Museum Complex, world class dining at the fabulous Charlotte Lane Café, awesome pub food as well as the Shelburne Yacht Club and numerous other eating and shopping options. Within walking distance you have 10 dining possibilities plus a craft beer and taproom, as well as kayak and SUP board rentals.
There are no less then 12 pristine white sand beaches between 20-40 mins away, a beautiful 18 hole golf course and a world class Black History museum. Shelburne is truly the perfect get away !!
The house is nothing short of spectacular .. period staircase, large formal dining room, open kitchen, four bedrooms with Wi-Fi & cable. The home is decorated in a tasteful mixture of antiques & comfort pieces. The home sleeps 7 in four bedrooms .. two with queen sized beds, one double bed and one single. There is also a roll out cot if needed and Shorewood House is equipped with a high chair and playpen if your family requires.
Cable TV & Wi-Fi are a must when travelling and Shorewood House offers an office styled work space because for many its almost impossible to separate ourselves totally from our work responsibilities. A quiet work area for emails and communications are an added feature.

Summary: Clean, beautiful home. There was an issue two weeks prior to arrival where we were advised it was double booked. It was sorted after a day or so and the reservation was honoured. The cleaners arrived at 10 advising check out was 10 but allowed us until 11 once we showed our email with check out time showing 11. Location was perfect. Home was very clean. Priced right.
