Summary: We started off with a problem—unable to get keyless entry to work. Our host was apparently busy with and not immediately available to help us get in. To be fair, I guess you can't expect someone to be waiting at the door to let you in for an unspecified arrival time. Once we established contact with our host, she was able to "talk us" in to gain entry. And subsequently quickly remedied the problem. The house and kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. It was the perfect place from which to stage our fishing adventures on the Chesapeake Bay. The downstairs "rec room" was awesome. The pool was "closed for the season", as to be expected, but the back porch was still a great place to spend time relaxing. We would definitely come back if we vacation in the area again. Except for a little wrinkle getting in the first time, everything else was perfect.

Summary: My friends/family celebrated Oktoberfest at this lovely property. I have family that live in Kilmarnock so it was very convenient to visit. The home was very nice and had all the amenities that we needed. Barbara was very responsive and accommodating to all our needs. Hope to come back in the summer months to take advantage of the pool! The ample parking was a huge plus for our friends. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Summary: The house was perfect for us. Our family of five loved everything the house had to offer. We loved the quiet area and enjoyed the deer each morning. The pool was perfect for our kids and we made a fire each night. We played corn hole by day and shot pool at night in the basement. The Northern neck was a beautiful area and we were still close enough to take day trips to Busch Gardens. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Summary: We had such a fantastic time at The Oyster Bed. Barbara was a great host and always available if needed. The house was very clean and comfortable and towels laid out on the beds were a nice touch too. Coming from Pennsylvania (outside of Philly) and having never been to Virginia or down by the River Realms we were looking for something different and off the beaten path. We found plenty to see and learn about beyond the cornfields. If you are looking to unwind and unplug this is the place. Our teenagers were able to put down their phones and Xbox for about 90% of the trip to play cards, shoot pool, throw cornhole, and swim. I really enjoyed sitting out on the beautiful cover deck overlooking the pool and wilderness to read my book before everyone would wake up. I found it extremely tranquil. Again, a ton of history in the area and Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown are about an hour away too. Thank you so much Barbara for making our first trip to Weems a great one! Summary: My family had an enjoyable time and everyone loved the pool. It was a quiet location, we felt very safe and it was a relaxing time. We enjoyed the covered porch and the nice large driveway for parking, riding bikes, and playing basketball. The property manager responded quickly to questions and we would visit again.

Summary: We stayed at this home while visiting family in the area. Though we cooked little while there, the kitchen contained anything needed. Each bedroom and common area had a TV. Beds were comfortable. The pool was an added bonus.

Summary: We were one of four couples staying in the house for a long weekend away. The home was clean, comfortable, and packed with creature comforts. Barbara was an amazing hostess who checked in via text to answer questions, and she took extra care to have the pool cleaned for us after a few days of terrible storms. We loved it. Strongly recommend.
