Positive: Was in a good location close to everywhere, horses were lovely to look at in the morning and beds were comfy. The host Stephen gave us a lovely warm welcome to the property and told us what was around the area and the best places to eat

Negative: - there was a lot of mould through out the property including bedroom windows meaning myself and my baby were breathing in black mould throughout our week stay. When I informed the owner about this , the woman who came over Lynn came and banged on the door and said “ I hear you have a problem “, I got told there is no mould , despite her having seen pictures. I explained the issue and all I got in return was “ if your not happy with they stay I suggest you pack your bags and leave tomorrow” I have never had such rudeness in my life especially when I have paid to stay somewhere ( had my baby in my arms and we live 7hrs away ) ( have 10 more pictures of said mould all in different places but won’t let me upload more than 4 )

Positive: Very attentive and welcoming hosts. We stayed during storm Amy ! The lodge was extremely sheltered and the views were amazing. They came down to check we were ok for food etc. highly recommend

Positive: Friendly welcome. Clean and homely lodge. Kid friendly dog friendly. Right on the farm site with horses. Fantastic stay, hope to book again.

Positive: Excellent location, so peaceful and only 5mins from Dollar which has most things you'd need. Kids loved having the horses so close by

Negative: Bedrooms are tight and not much storage. We were a family of 3 adults and 2 young kids, probably wouldn't be able to handle much more than that.

Summary: A great base if you want peace to retreat to after an adventurous day

Positive: The owners are lovely people and gave us helpful tips and suggestions for our stay. The lodge well equipped and on arrival we even had some basics, like milk, bread, butter and a lovely box of Scottish shortbread. We loved the morning views with the horses. It’s a great place to stay and we will definitely use it again if we visit Scotland.
